September 7, 2010 / My Rappahannock Home

One of the things I love most about Rappahannock is the number of people who recycle….whether it’s composting, taking things to or purchasing from thrift stores, having yard sales, recycling mixed papers, clothing, newspapers, OR buying recycled products.

We are a green county and that makes Rappahannock a better place for all of us. Having been a teacher for many years, I can’t help thinking that we all need to continue to be better examples for the kids in our community. It’s not easy. We have to think about it. It doesn’t come naturally, but might with practice. My 85 year old mother has begun to recycle!

Our office is now committed to buying recycled paper products….copy paper, paper towels, toner. We all feel that it’s the right thing to do.

If you feel the same way, and want to make a difference, check out the GreenlinePaper website, . Their prices seem to be competitive. It’s just one source that might help you begin your investigation into all things green!

If you want to talk about recycling, or purchasing a green property, contact me at I’ll get right back to you!
